The Tata Group’s Indian Hotels Company Ltd. (IHCL) has announced the opening of two new hotels in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, near the Statue of Unity.

The hotels, 125-room Vivanta and 150-room Ginger, are scheduled to open in 2025.

S. Jaishankar, Union External Affairs Minister, lay the foundation stone on Saturday in the presence of N. Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, and Puneet Chhatwal, managing director and CEO of IHCL.

“The quick expansion of our footprint in Gujarat is an exciting step for IHCL,” said Mr. Chhatwal in a statement. “These hotels will be a substantial addition to our portfolio.”

“Ekta Nagar is envisioned as a premier tourism destination in the country, and IHCL, in collaboration with the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd. (SSNNL), will provide excellent experiences for visitors through the two hotels.”

Ekta Nagar, located in the Narmada area in the heart of Gujarat, is destined to become an iconic destination. It has various tourist attractions, including the Statue of Unity, the Valley of Flowers, Zarvani eco-tourism, and the Shoolpaneshwar Temple.
